Room 308, Tuesday Evening

Kaylee was sitting on her bed working on the poem she wrote in her workshop earlier today. Even though she already turned it in, she wanted to make it better. She didn't really know why she bothered working on it. It wasn't like she was planning to show it to anyone.

After awhile, she gave up and started writing a letter to Inara instead.

There was a nervous hurried knock at Kaylee's door.

Joxer was really hoping his incognito hat would make sure anyone who wanted to kill him not notice him.

"Hi Joxer," Kaylee said cheerfully when she opened the door.

Joxer slipped into the room and shut the door behind himself. He then dropped to his knees.

"Please please please please don't kill me."

Kaylee stared at him in confusion. "Why would I kill you?"

"Because I thought I wasn't me and I tried to kiss people that weren't you and I think they might want to kill me," Joxer said, still on his knees. "I don't know what was going on and I am so, so sorry."

"But it wasn't your fault, right?" Kaylee asked. "You thought you were someone else. So did a lot of other people."

"I guess not," Joxer said, though he still looked really guilty. "Forgive me?"

"Course I do," Kaylee said with a smile.

Joxer looked up and and smiled at Kaylee. "You're the most magnificent girlfriend in all of time," he said.

Kaylee grinned. "And you better not forget that."

Joxer shook his head quickly. "Never," he said, standing back up. "Thank you so, so much."

"No need to thank me," Kaylee said, walking over to give him a hug.

Joxer hugged Kaylee back tightly. "I can't help but think other people wouldn't be so forgiving, that's all."

"Well that would hardly seem fair," Kaylee said. "Seems most people were forgiven for things they might have done while they weren't themselves. Why wouldn't you?"

"I don't know," Joxer said, pulling back from the hug. "I just want to think you're even more special that usual for it, I guess."

"Well, I ain't gonna stop you from thinking that," Kaylee said.

Joxer leaned in to kiss Kaylee on the nose. "Good, cause I don't think even you could make me stop thinking that," he said.

"And I wouldn't want to," Kaylee said. "I don't mind anyone thinkin' I'm special to them."

Joxer nodded. "You're the most special thing to me. The specialest," he said.

He then leaned in to try and give Kaylee a proper kiss.

Kaylee leaned in to make it easier. She smiled when she pulled away. "You're pretty special too."

Joxer blushed a bit. "Thanks," he said. "There anything I can do to make up for not being able to treat you properly over the weekend?"

"Well, dunno if you have much to make up for, but...maybe we can go out or somethin'?"

"That sounds like a good idea," Joxer said. "When should we do that?"

"I'm free pretty much the entire weekend," Kaylee said.

"Does Sunday sound good to you? Sunday sounds good to me."

"Sunday sounds shiny to me, too."

"Sunday," Joxer repeated. He was so happy he decided to lean in to try and kiss her again.

Kaylee really didn't mind this.

Joxer's enthusiasm was now leading to trying to kiss Kaylee about the neck, as well.

Kaylee didn't mind this either because it kinda felt nice.

Joxer was now moving to putting his arms around Kaylee. And his hands have a tendency to wander a bit...

Kaylee was oddly okay with this, too. She smiled at him. "So, guessin' you'll have somethin' fun planned for Sunday."

Joxer pulled back and smiled. "I think I will," he said. "I should probably go, though."
