Room 516, Monday

Kaylee was sitting on her bed, glancing around at her near empty room. The Christmas lights that were still up were the only sign that someone had lived here.

It was a little hard to believe she would be leaving in a few hours.

Kaylee reached for one of her bags and retrieved something from it. "Ain't too much trouble finding it in here."

She smiled before handing the photo over. "That's my girl."

"Thank you," Stark said as he took the photo to look at. "I don't have pictures of Moya. Or Talyn. She looks like a good ship. But any ship that can be home is a good ship, I think."

"That I can agree with," Kaylee nodded. "Maybe someday you can go back home to Moya. Or Talyn."

"Maybe someday," Stark echoed quietly. "I think I'll stay here a while longer first. It's a good place, even if it turned me into a girl the other day. And I like the people. But someday, maybe, it might be good to go back."

"It is a good place and I'll miss it," Kaylee said, blinking. "You turned into a girl?"

"I didn't mean to! But yes. I did. Someone said I was a pretty girl, at least. But I'm glad it went away. Much rather be me," Stark said. "But it is a good place. You could always come back, someday. I'm sure it will still be here."

"I'm sure you were a pretty girl," Kaylee agreed. "Maybe I will come back and visit. I'll definitely keep in touch at least."

"I still think I lookbetter as me," Stark said. "I should have gotten a picture. I wonder if anyone has one. It would be good, to keep in touch."

"Then I guess I'm gonna have to," Kaylee said with a grin.

Stark grinned back. "Good, good. I'll look forward to it then."

"I really will miss it here. And I'll miss you, too," Kaylee said, giving him a hug. "You take care of yourself."

Aww, a hug. Stark didn't get enough of those, so he happily returned this one.

"You will be missed. Be well."

"Goodbye, Stark," Kaylee said a bit sadly.

"Goodbye Kaylee," Stark said quietly. But that sounded too final, and he'd noticed that people you never expected to see again had a tendency of turning up somewhere else in the universe. "Until I see you again."
